Electric Designs Terms and Conditions.

Data

Electric Designs is not responsible for any data loss that may occur while servicing the systems.  Full system backups are the sole responsibility of the Business/Person or entity with claim to the data.  Electric Designs can help to test and ensure a disaster recovery plan is in place; however this is not an assumption of data liability.  Backups should be audited for accuracy monthly.  Electric Designs can assist in this audit, but does not certify the data will be available when needed.  Rules of thumb for data.  All data should be backed up.  Photos, songs and other important items should be on no less than two alternate media sources, (Thumb drive, hard drive, tape, DVD).  Business related items should be on three, with offsite storage. (Raid 5 counts as one, Raid 10 counts as two)

Rate Billing

Schedule site visits are billed at a flat rate of $150 per visit payable upon completion of job ($200 if billed).  This rate applies only to computer services.  It does not include parts.  It does not include labor like (Cabling). Special projects like initial office setup and cabling are projects and will be bid accordingly.  These special projects will be billed at an agreed flat rate.  Parts are billed seperatly.  Electric Design may contract out some specialized services like full office cabling.  Electric Designs assumes responsible for the job completion and satisfaction.  Electric Designs reserves the right to terminate a delinquent contract and send the balance of the contract to collection.  Please call to make arrangements prior to delinquency.  Late payment penalties apply and are noted on each invoice.

Remote Access

Electric Designs offers remote access at a discounted price, however Electric Designs cannot control some of the factors in making a remote connection.  If a trip is required it is billed at the rate of the contract according to the Rate Billing Terms.

Rentals

Electric Designs is not responsible for production time or data lost due to a rented piece of equipment.  Every effort is made to keep the equipment functional, however based on demand or mission critical processes, redundancy is the best protection for this coverage.  Please see Rental Contract for repair/replacement procedures.

After Market Warranty

Electric Designs offers replacement on hardware only, data is not insurable. While there are many different products available for replacement; Electric Designs only replaces the “after market” warranty item with a compatible and comparable replacement.  The replacement might not be of the same manufacturer or maybe upgraded depending on the availability of the part needing replacement.  Electric Designs will never “down grade” a part.
